ASS2 - Tutor Feedback

Tutor Feedback Assignment 2 My feedback from my tutor has helped me reflect and look at how far I have come. 10 years ago I was working full time doodling away at any chance I could get whilst at work. Now I work part time, doing a degree and have my own art Pet Portrait business.. Not only is my career moving in the right direction but also my techniques and skills, ways of thinking have all evolved. My use of colours, composition and medium are now automatically things I think about when doing anything creative. I have discovered my joy of working with paper and using it to create a 3D layer style to my illustrations. As I go along this course I am finding new ways to use paper to improve my designs and techniques that help show my personal voice. My tutor has noticed this improvement which is great! ASS2 - Final - A Sense of Place

Assignment two A sense of place Your local tourist board has commissioned you to produce a series of reportage illustrations that celebrates aspects of local culture. Base your illustrations on real local events, locations and people. Capture a sense of place through drawing from life. Produce between three and five pieces of work, at least one of which should be in colour. The style of the illustrations is up to you, but the tourist board wants something that portrays vitality and life. They want to see people at a destination, engaging with activities or enjoying themselves taking in the views. As with the exercises you’ve done so far, use your sketchbook to document and gather information. Your final illustrations could be a selection of your best drawings or re-worked illustrations based on your sketches.
