Assignment 5 Final - Self Directed Project Series - Totem Spirit Animals I have spent a few weeks thinking about what I wanted to pick from: a self directed project, Competition brief or a brief from a client. Out of them I finally decided on creating a Self Directed project This is because I feel I can finally let loose and take up the challenge in creating my own very first illustrations with my interests and voice. I also think it is more of a challenge then the other two options as you are given a brief but as a self-directed task I will have to create my own. I found this A3 Brown paper sketchbook and I thought it would give my work a different look. I have always worked on white paper in sketchbooks and thought this will also be a great opportunity to see how I work differently from using different coloured paper. I already cut out and stick in my sketchbooks a lot anyway so I think this would highlight my work better. ...
